YOUR PUTNAM COUNTY ACADEMY
BOXING
Boxing focuses on punches and defensive movement. Tell your instructor whether you are starting from scratch or returning to training, and ask what gloves or wraps to bring.
Your free trial is an opportunity to meet the team and discuss your goals before choosing a membership.
WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE
Boxing starts with stance, balance and a guard that lets you move and defend. Footwork helps you manage distance; jabs, crosses and hooks build your punching vocabulary. Good combinations connect those punches with movement rather than leaving you planted in front of a partner.
Pad and bag work let you practice timing and combinations. Competition is a separate goal: tell your instructor whether you want fitness, technical development or a path toward the fight team.
Our Putnam County academy is led by owner and head instructor Joshu Aleksandra Kucharska.
