WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE
CONNECT STRIKING AND GRAPPLING.
Mixed martial arts brings striking, takedowns and ground skills together. The transitions matter: distance and stance change when you move from punches and kicks to a takedown or a ground position. Developing those connections is the focus of a rounded MMA foundation.
Boxing, Dutch kickboxing, Muay Thai and Submission Grappling offer ways to concentrate on individual parts of that foundation. Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling are taught within Submission Grappling. Explore those disciplines alongside MMA and discuss an appropriate starting point with the Forest Hills team.
